Our Story

The story of Wheat Twins begins in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. Graffiti, wheat pasting, and general scrapping and picking—of carboard boxes, wooden fruit crates, window frames, and other such urban detritus—were the modus operandi. Kensington and Frankford were the stomping grounds for work inspired by a love of beauty. In the manner of St. Francis of Assisi, the desire was always to seek the beauty of God...the vestiges of divinity littered everywhere throughout everything. In the meantime, God has been seeking and working those vestiges littered in Tim and Ty, the original members of Wheat Twins. Since those days, Wheat Twins has collaborated with artists and makers as far flung as LA, Austin, and Seoul, ROK.
