Image: The corpus, or body, is based on Hubert and Jan van Eyck’s oil painting of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ from the mid 15th C. 

More: The body of Jesus on the cross is printed on the hoodies thereby coving the body of the wearer. This is a reference to the image of Jesus that bears on the follower of Christ who embodies this image in his own person. The image of God residing in each human person is redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This image of God in each human person unites with the Icon of God, Jesus, who in his own person takes on the nature of human kind. In a double-likeness, the image of God in mankind unites with the Image of God—who is the Son of God and second person of the Trinity. This is a double-likeness, or perhaps “fulfilled” likeness, in that the Son of God, or Image of God, becomes man in Jesus of Nazareth. The Son of God takes on human nature. The union between God and man is accomplished in the person of Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man. In such a way, this hoodie is also a reference to the religious habits worn by Franciscan friars who viewed their habits as their cross. To be a follower of Christ, or Christian, is to become another Christ by taking on a divine nature and becoming a new creation. It is to take up one’s cross and follow after the footsteps of Christ (Mt 16:24-28). To be a new creation is to share in the divinity of Christ and to lovingly share in his human suffering.

Technique (Hoodie): Sublimation dye printing process transfers the image onto the fabric before cutting and sewing into the garment.

This relaxed-fit hoodie with drop shoulders has a soft outside and brushed fleece inside. Though relaxed in fit, this hoodie is true-to-size rather than oversized. Please consult the size chart below and compare it with your favorite hoodie when picking your preferred fit. The hood is double-lined with premium drawstrings.
